Berry Picking

Last time we went to the fruit farm we carried Max around in the backpack.  This time he was able to join in the fruit picking fun.  He knew exactly what to do when he walked up to the blueberry bushes.

I should mention that Max loves berries.  When given the choice between cake or blueberries, he goes for the fruit.

Excited to get his hands on berries.

Carefully picking the best ones.

Yup, this is a good one!  Very few berries ended up in the bucket.

Big mouthful!

He's in heaven.

Grandma, Grandpa, dad, and Max pose with their pickings.  It was a beautiful day to be at the fruit farm.

 The blackberries are tasty, too.

He didn't hang from a peach tree during this visit but he's still a peach.

Sprinkler

This isn't the typical style of sprinkler that kids like but Max didn't seem to mind.  He was more interested in the mechanics of the sprinkler than running around in the spray of water anyway.

Always helps to have your tongue out.

Half an hour later...still memorized by it.

Personal Stylist

Max's hat from a year ago is too small on him now but it's a the perfect size for a labrador.

Ricky is such a good sport about letting Max dress him up.

Not everyone looks good in a fedora.  Ricky has a good face for hats.

Leaning in to give Ricky a smooch.

Armadillo Festival 2015

I'm a little late on this post!  The Armadillo Festival was the first weekend of May but due to some long nights with a teething toddler (poor guy) I am only getting around to posting now.

We did the typical activities you do at a fair: watch people and eat fair food.  Max's favorite fair food was BBQ pulled pork.  I'm sure he would have really enjoyed the deep fried Oreos but that's one treat I'm not willing to share!  He made a new friend and rode his first carnival ride.

Max is 95% sure this guy isn't a real bear.

He's the perfect size to be a jockey.

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms we know!  The pop-up rain showers that passed through today were a good excuse to not worry about yard work and relax together.
