Florida Vacation: Ohio Alumni Kids
My college roommate and I thought it would be fun to take a group picture of our kids in Ohio University shirts. Not sure what we were thinking. Max alone defines the term "herding cats".
If we can just get everyone to look at the camera and smile...
And there he goes.
Annslee and Emeric exorcised Audrey's demons while Ross rounded up Max.
Almost! Three out of four isn't bad.
Back to playing in the sand.
Attempting to get a family photo. Good thing Ross wore his running shoes to the beach.
He's a sweetheart if you can get a hold of him.

Florida Vacation: Beach Babies
We vacationed in Sanibel, FL for a week with Michele's college friend and her family. It was the kids' first trip to the beach. They were so good in the car that we did the 19 hour drive in one day. Tropical Storm Colin didn't stop us from spending time in the sand. There was off and on rain for most of the week and the surf was rough but we still got in plenty of beach time. On the last day the surf was calm enough to get everyone in the water and swim. They both enjoyed the beach and neither was afraid of the water.
On our way to the beach! They loved riding in the bike trailer.
Audrey was content sitting in the sand and searching for shells.
Something about the sand and the waves inspired her to stand up and walk.
Empty yogurt containers have so many uses! Max spent a lot of time digging and filling his pail with sand.
This tree was a great spot to do some birding.
The tree also makes nice shade for napping.
Fun in the waves.
Time to go. It's never easy leaving.

Happy First Birthday Audrey!
This year went by quickly! We had a little party for Audrey with just the five of us. After filling up on a dinner of one of her favorite foods, meatballs, it was time for the cake.
Before we ate cake we had her open a few presents.
She didn't really know what to do so she did what she does best and ate the paper.
Cake time! There was no hesitation here.
Always have to share with Ricky.
She ended her birthday by relaxing in the tub with a book while dad washed the crumbs out of her hair.
