The sun doesn't get very high in the sky these days, and winter hasn't even begun.

Snow Day
It's cold and snowy outside but inside it's warm and toasty.
Perfect weather for sitting by the fire, sipping a hot beverage, and relaxing to classical piano performed by a 17 month old.
Thanks to Ricky for making sure no ravens or magpies landed in the yard while Max played.

Halloween 2016
We made it to Alaska! We just got internet yesterday so I can start posting pictures again. I took a lot of photos while on our journey to get here but since Halloween is the most recent event, I will start by posting those.
This year the kids dressed up as a fireman and a dalmatian. They went to "Trick or Treat Street" which takes place in the Tok School. Local businesses decorate the doorways of the classrooms and pass out candy to kids. Lucky for Max and Audrey they passed out lots of Dum-Dums. Until Monday I had no idea how addictive Dum-Dums are to toddlers. That night they came home really sugared up.
Pretty twinkling lights on the scary chainsaw.
New things to look at + 10 suckers = mom's out of luck getting a decent photo
I'll give you each another sucker if you sit together for a picture!

Last Post from the Lower 48
I decided to do one more post before we continue our journey on Sunday. The weather was so gorgeous that we had to play outside and of course I took pictures. The kids are wearing a few more layers than they are used to but they seem to like the cool weather.
Ricky feels at home again chasing pheasants. Look at that smile!
Chewing on a blade of grass like true country folk.
Lots of giggles with dad on the swing set.
Weeeee!
Max pretty much stuck to climbing the dirt pile and playing with rocks.
Can't forget about the tractor. He needs to sit on it every time he goes outside.

Travel Status
We are traveling between our old home and our new home. We won't arrive in Tok, AK until October 24 at the earliest. Until then there won't be much on the blog. So far we spent three days on the road driving to Homestead, MT to visit grandma and grandpa Flagen. We will hit the road again this weekend. Until then we are relaxing with family while the kids play and take naps on grandma's bed.
