Light Show

I couldn't sleep last night and I'm not upset I was up till 2am.  This is the first time I saw the northern lights like this.  The sky was constantly waving and swirling over our house.  If it wasn't so cold I would have set up a lawn chair and watched all night.

Another Snowy Adventure

Happy New Year!

Thank you Mother Nature for letting the sun come out today!  It's been overcast for so many days and I can't remember the last time a sun beam touched my face.  We had to stand in the street to be in the sun (it's too low and blocked by the trees in the yard) and it didn't last long (this is around noon) but we all feel better now that we have a little vitamin D.

Sledding

We made a snow hill off the side of the porch for the kids to sled down.  This is the first time they have been sledding and they really enjoyed it.  We had about 30 minutes of sledding fun before someone face planted in the snow and it quickly became time to go inside.  No worries, no one was injured.  After a hug and a cup of milk she forgot all about it.

 When you get a fresh snow fall you have to go play in it.

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!  I didn't take many pictures during the holidays.  I wanted to enjoy watching them unwrap presents while drinking coffee and eating gingerbread waffles.

But it's after the holidays now so I'm back to picture taking!
